Two conducting plates are placed close to each other. You can treat them
as an ideal parallel plate capacitor. The top conducting plate has a total charge of
n1. The bottom conducting plate has a total charge of n2.
What are the charges on the inner surfaces of the two conductors? That is, if
n3 is the charge on the inner surfaces as shown in the figure, what
is n3? n1, n2 and n3 have the
same units of charge.
