Problem C15:
An object of mass m is thrown up vertically into the air with an initial
speed v0. It travels to a maximum height h and returns to the
ground. The object's speed when it hits the ground is v. During its
travel through the air, the force of air friction is constant, and
equal to f. If v/v0 = (n1/n2)1/2
what is f? If f=mv02/(hn3), what is
n3? Note that n1, n2 and n3
are unitless.
